Never Miss a Leak: When a water leak is detected, a red light will flash on the water leak detector and the base station will sound an alarm up to 100 dB; you’ll also get an app alert on your phone, so you can learn about leaks even if you’re away
Feature-Rich App: Adjust the base station alarm volume, mute an alarm, and view your alarm history via the app; tap “Remind Me Later” to temporarily mute the alerts for 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours or 12 hours; test the device, get low battery alerts, and share the sensor all from the app
Top and Bottom Sensors: Featuring 2 ultra-sensitive water probes on the top and 4 on the bottom, this water leak sensor can sense water just 0.4 mm deep as well as drips from above, ensuring you’re promptly alerted to any unexpected water without having to physically be there and check for yourself
Ultra-Slim and Easy to Place: This water alarm fits into tight and awkward spaces thanks to its compact design; the device is only 0.7 in (17 mm) thick and 3 in (77 mm) in diameter
Long Connection Range: Feel confident to put this sensor in an outbuilding or far away corner—its wireless connection range of up to 1,700 ft (500 m) in open areas means you’ll receive app alerts no matter where it’s placed
Works in Humid Areas: With an IP67 waterproof rating, this leak detector works reliably in humid spaces such as near dishwashers or water heaters; once it’s in position, there’s no maintenance as its batteries last up to 3 years and simply replace them to extend its lifespan to 5 years
Detects Leaks Throughout Your Home: This Wi-Fi water sensor detects leaks in places like windows, bathrooms, kitchens, garages, restrooms, sinks, water pipes, laundry rooms, basements, and wine cellars
Base Station Alarm: When water is detected, an LED on this water leak detector will flash red, but only the base station will emit an alarm; if you would like a model where both the device and base station sound, consider the X-Sense SWS54 Kit with Wi-Fi water leak detector

    Great sensors
These work great in conjunction with other X-Sense products like the co2 sensors and smoke detectors. They are easy to install and operate without a monthly fee. The size is right to locate anywhere you might want to track water leaks. With an estimated 10 year battery life you don’t waste time swapping batteries. I’ve had them installed for 6 months with no problems at all with connectivity.

Don’t consider any other leak detector over this one!
I can’t begin to tell you the stress I have over leak detectors. I bought a D-LINK several years ago that was impossible to set up and as of 2023, the company decided that they weren’t going to support the product anymore. This left countless owners out in the cold with an app that no longer supported their detector. So, I had to consider finding a new leak detector system. And, let me tell you, it wasn’t an easy task. I poured through more than a dozen such detectors on Amazon reading reviews that didn’t convince me there was any reliable enough system worth investing my money in……that is until I came to X-Sense. There were some very encouraging Amazon reviews touting this as the best product of its kind with ease of setup and exceptional performance for indicating water leakage.Let me tell you, this product exceeded ALL expectations. To begin with, I was fearing the setup process knowing what I had gone through when I set up my D-LINK.Shortly after purchase, the manufacturer sent me an email with a link to an online doc with what I am assuming was an updated installation guide. This was something I very much appreciated as it showed that the manufacturer was still taking an interest in making certain that its customers had a favorable installation experience. And get this…installation took under 7 minutes and it was completely effortless and flawless. The big thing to keep in mind when installing is that this won’t connect to a 5GHz network, which is what most home routers are outputting. To get around this, all you need to do is create a guest network that generally broadcasts in the preferred 2.5 GHz band that this device needs to connect to.I started with the base installation and which took less than a minute to complete. You simply download the X-Sense app and it walks you through the process. After that, adding any one of the 3 satellite leak detectors takes even less time. You push a button and it connects to the base station. We have a very large home and I was very happy to see that the signal range in which the base and satellites communicate with each other is pretty immense. There has been no problem with a signal loss between devices.Once everything was connected I did a quick test where I placed one of the satellite detectors in my sink and ran a small stream of water. As soon as the water hit the sensors on the bottom of the detector, a loud alarm on the base station went off and a notification was sent to my iPhone. WOW! Could it be THIS EASY?I have never seen something like this come together so easily. It was so effortless to set this up.What you get in the box are one base station and 3 satellite detectors. You also get a power cord and brick for the base station. I would advise centralizing the base location in your home. The app is very good with one major annoyance that has been talked about in other reviews here. The plus is that the app is well laid out and easy to use. It offers a terrific one-glance look at your activated system, its online status, and battery levels. And speaking of batteries, they are easily replaceable. On the downside, I wish the developer would update the app so users are not annoyed by the advertisement to purchase extra protection. It’s fine to read about it once, but I shouldn’t have annoying reminders pop up when using the app. It’s really ruining a perfect experience. Perhaps in an update, the software developer can fix this.Other than that, I am just ecstatic about this purchase. I still can’t believe it took mere minutes to set everything up without any of the errors and hassles one expects from these products. If you are looking for the perfect leak detector system, I can’t fathom you can do any better than this at the approx. $50 price point.

    Easy set-up
This was easy to setup with clear instructions, and everything we worked perfectly the first time. The app is intuitive and easy to use, and sensor names can be easily customized for exact locations. The alarm is adjustable in both tone and volume, and it sends almost immediate push alerts to your phone. A+ for ease of installation, quality and ease of self-test.

Good Product, Good Price – Not Easiest Install
As the picture shows the instruction manual is very small. I had to scan the pages so I could enlarge it enough to read. The instructions said to hold the pair button for 5 sec and the LED on the Base Station would flash yellow then it could be paired with the phone. The LED flashed as soon as it was plugged in and would not pair. A call to Tech Support was answered by a live Tech who went over the troubleshooting procedure. He told me to reboot my phone and call back if that did not work. It did work after that and the install was easy from there on.I tested the sensors with a wet sponge before I put them in place and after. One was placed in the lower level of the house beside the water heater which is isolated in an enclosed space. The alarm sounded at the base station and on my phone and was very loud. I am hard of hearing and I could hear it very well.I need two more sensors but the only package I can find for sensors only has three units, so I will probably get three and find some place to use the extra one. The units have a low battery warning that messages your phone and it uses AAA batteries that are said to last 3 years.I gave it 4 Stars only because the instructions were difficult to read and not very clear in my opinion. It appears to be a very good product at a good price for insurance against a flooded house, even though my insurance company would not give a discount for it.

Water sensors easy to install and seem to work well.
The item arrived on time, seems to work well. I tested a few of the water sensors by spilling a bit of water and the response to my phone was within seconds. Cannot comment on battery life. The quality of build seems good.Set up was easy once I figured out that you have to scan qr code for both the base and the sensors. I failed to get the sensors scanned. Only other thing is you need WIFI at 2.4g as it will not pair with 5 g. Overall seems very good

    We Love These!
We were looking for a water sensor for our basement and under our kitchen sink and came across these. The sensors are so easy to get set up and work with all other X Sense home bases and app. After our basement flooded due to a sump pump malfunction, we decided our best and most feasible option at this time was to get a water sensor so we know if water should start to rise. We feel much safer and comfortable knowing we will get an alert on the base and our smart phone as soon as the water touches it.My son actually accidentally touched one of the sensors while having water on his hands and we were able to hear the alarm loud and clear. I was able to dismiss it and turn it off right on my phone. It’s so simple!Overall, we are happy with the price and quality so far!

Setup was easy and quick. Tested each sensor and app, everything is working fine. Switched off WIFI on my phone and still got alarm via mobile data, no subscription was required ( some reviews mentioned that subscription is required).Only one negative comment, which did not remove star, each sensor has the same Serial Number. So if you mixed them up after adding to the system before installation, you do not know which is one. During testing I put pensil mark to be able recognize sensors and install them in proper places.Hope they will work if leak occurred.

Once you get the home base linked – easy peezy. At first unit would not connect to the cloud service. I was in the settings of my modem/router the day before to confirm I had 2.4 GHz wifi and the correct password. Had to phone the help desk, answered quickly, was told I needed to add port. I have never done that how hard can it be? Went to port triggered on the menu and added TCP 8883. used that number in all the boxes that required a number. Boom, all good, giddy up go. Adding sensors is done through the app on your phone, so simple. What are you waiting for? Now I have to find a wifi controlled water shut-off.

  9. Hani Naguib

Very good quality. They are easy to setup and install. Too bad they don’t have the system to close the water that connects with it.
