    Read this before assembling
I bought this shoe organizer for my wife and I am very happy with it (she is too). I tried one of those organizers that is like a big sheet with a bunch of pockets on it… useless. The pockets were too small to hold 90% of the shoes she has (just one shoe per pocket), and shoes that have any kind of weight to the heel pull on the pocket and hang way out away from the door. That thing got returned. But this one I like. The “shelves” are deep enough to hold just about any kind of shoe, and the construction is sturdy enough that I feel pretty confident that it will last. The metal tube frame is very lightweight but the design is good and it seems like it will do the job long term. The hooks that go over the door are padded on the inside and the frame has plastic endcaps on the parts that touch the door, so I don’t expect it to do any damage to the door. Now, as far as the assembly goes – yes, it comes with a full-size, multi-page instruction manual that is well written and has large, easy to comprehend diagrams, but the sequence of steps should be changed up to make the process much easier. The manual instructs you to assemble one vertical support and attach ALL of the horizontal rods in the first step. After having done this, you are supposed to slide the single piece mesh shelving over all of the horizontal bars. Imagine this and you’ll understand. The mesh is extremely lightweight and porous, and the sleeves that fit over the horizontal rods are fairly snug. This means that you will have to slide a couple inches onto one rod, then a couple inches onto the next rod and so on. The whole time you are doing this, the mesh that you put over the first few rods is actively trying to work itself off. This is pretty frustrating and it takes a relatively long time to get all of the mesh over all of the rods. Here’s my recommendation:1. Assemble the two vertical supports and hang them over the door at the proper distance apart.2. Connect the top horizontal rod to one side and slide the top sleeve of the mesh material completely onto the tube.3. Loosely connect the first rod to the other vertical support so that the mesh is trapped and can’t go anywhere.4. Then slide the remaining horizontal rods into the remaining mesh sleeves and loosely connect both ends to the vertical supports.5. Repeat this until all of the rods are in place and then tighten everything up, making sure not to pinch the mesh at either end.6. Stand back and marvel at how easy that was. This is how I wish I had assembled it. Efficient. Stable. Zero frustration. Try it out and let me know.

    Declutter that closet! Super nice!
Easily declutter your closet with this! No more shoes on the ground or in boxes everywhere. Made closet organization awesome and gave us more space. Pretty easy to set up and its very sturdy with the included screws.

This is a good product. I do have some notes though…
If you are considering getting this product, you should totally buy it. I looked at hundreds of knock-off brands with weird names that have products like this, but the same price and crappier. This is a really high-quality product for a really great price. I would expect to see this kind of thing at a Target. Very sturdy, very well made. I also like that they have a patent on this design, because to me that shows that they are trying to provide a high-quality item, not just sell junk. That being said, here is why I give it 4 stars:1. The instructions aren’t as effective as they could be. I would suggest to the Whitmor team that they test a group of consumers and monitor them as they put the rack together. Sliding the mesh over all the poles at once just is not really feasible. You should definitely slide the mesh over the poles and THEN screw them in.Other instruction thoughts:- Assembly time: it took me 45 minutes to assemble completely.- Complicated: I was briefly overwhelmed at first with all the labels on the bags, trying to find A, B, C, and D. The first step had way too many instructions at once. I would suggest a step-by-step assembly video (QR code on the instructions).2. No-go for high tops. I assumed my boots would have to go on the top shelf, but as you can see, my Jordans (and not pictured, my heels) didn’t fit upright and were way too big for the slots. I had to stuff them sideways, which meant less room. This is partly because of the angled way you slide shoes in—it just doesn’t work for anything besides very low-topped shoes.3. Cover photo shows that you can fit 3 pairs nicely in one row. This is totally false. I wear Women’s size 8, and two pairs plus a single shoe was the most I could get in one row.Overall, really great product. Just a few pieces of feedback I would give the creators. I think they have a great thing going though, and I would recommend this product to anyone.(New product ideas for this brand:- same shelf, freestanding (not in a cart, but tall and thin)- same shelf, area with one larger gap for boots and high tops)

    Great product
Easy to put together, easy to clean, holds lots of shoes, and keeps it pretty easy to stay organized. Overall a good product that is rather sturdy, plends perfectly with my white door, and looks great in my room.

    Sturdy and space saver
Hung this in my closet to save space and make getting my shoes more convenient. Worked like a charm and has been holding on for a week now. It was fairly easy to put together by myself and took no more than 20 minutes. It’s very sturdy and truly worth the price in my opinion. Most of my shoes fit with space in the closet for the remaining shoes to sit on a different shoe rack that also does not take up much space. 10/10 recommend.

    Great organizer!
Love this product! Between myself and my granddaughter there were shoes everywhere and it was driving me crazy. This was the answer to my problem. I put this on the inside of my coat closet and now we have plenty of room for all of our shoes, sneakers, sandals and hiking boots. Storing shoes and retrieving shoes is now simple. Super easy to install and it is holding up beautifully. I highly recommend this for keeping your shoes out from under foot!

    Cheap but functional
This product is functional yes. I assembled it as per another customers suggestion by attaching it to the outer frame. It is VERY cheaply made. It functions yes, but the mesh catches easily and the plastic sign material cut up to fit the base will tear at it if not careful. My door is too thick for one of the hooks. I store my hair styling tools, bags, and some scarves. No smell. I’ll give it 2 yrs but rough handling my drop the lifespan to one. Just frustrating because it’s really expensive for quality.
