I’ve always been a big fan of window film, I’m not a big fan of the sunroof in my vehicle. I’ve always hated them (small minority I know) so it clicked in my brain, omg I can throw some film up there and make it sparkle! And that’s exactly what I did. It does has a strong vinyl smell, but they do air out after a bit. I’m so excited to see rainbows all over my car when I’m driving!This kit I didn’t realize does come with all the essential tools (spray bottle to fill, exact-o blade, rubber squeegee!) which is super nice so you don’t have to buy any additional tools. 10/10 ease of application, went right up, it’s staying up, and looks amazing! Great quality film!

Great stuff – got the blackout version and it blocks the light 100% wherever you put it. Love it. I got a new monitor a few months back, and have a high half-moon shaped window directly behind me in my front door, which faces west, so the sun was always glaring in on my computer screen every day for the few hours before sunset (except on super cloudy or rainy days). I have extremely light sensitive eyes, and even though my monitor has a glare-free coating, the glare has been brutal and headache inducing. (Plus, the anti-glare coating on modern monitors is not all that fabulous honestly – I miss the truly matte monitors of old that didn’t cost multiple thousands of dollars like they do now.)Since this stuff was a SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper solution than getting a crazy expensive new monitor, I ran with it and am so glad I did. It is pure black almost all the time. I do have daylight LED light bulbs for nighttime, and that’s when the rainbows show up beautifully on the inside. I don’t know how well the rainbow/holo coating would work with regular incandescent or fluorescent lighting but it definitely shows up with your normal daylight LED light bulbs on in the evening. Mine are 4500 temperature range, maybe 5000? They aren’t the soft 2700 or 3000 warmer temp ones – those ones drive me batty because my eyes see everything as “dingy” with them – probably due to my eye issues. Anyway so yeah these are fabulous but the holo/rainbow effect requires good indoor lighting to see it. Otherwise, it’s just solid black but it absolutely does it’s job of blocking out 100% of the light!! So simple. So effective.

Get THIS one! I have tried to apply this kind of film on my windows before and it was a total nightmare. And the results were awful. I have avoided the stuff ever since. When it looked like this was my only recourse I was totally expecting to fight with it for hours and walk away bested by the vinyl.I was very pleasantly surprised! This kit came with easy to follow instructions AND all the tools needed (except a soft cloth. I imagine that is pretty universally available).The instructions didn’t make sense to me when I first read through them but I followed each one step by step and HOLY COW!!! this took me less than an hour. And I LOVE IT!!!One thing Inwas worried about is the sidelights had frost etching (obviously not professionally done) on them. I was worried it would look funny with the film (that is why I went with the clear). Again I was pleasantly surprised- it looks great! You can see the etching through the film but it looks like it was meant to be there.If I could change one thing I’d make the film less see through. We prefer a bit more privacy. But as is is enough unless you are close (after 6’ I’d say).But it looks gorgeous and was super easy (admittedly I expected to fight with it). Do take your time and follow the instructions step by step. The more care you take to the details of peeping the better the results will be.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Disregard the light coming through on the edges – that’s on me for not cutting properly with the razor. This took about 30ish minutes to install (was a little frustrating due to the angled window). It has been sticking nicely for the past several days and really blacks out the room, which was needed for my daughter (since this type of window is difficult to find a decently priced shade for). The main things I am sad about: there are no colorful lights coming in at any time of the day even with the sun hitting right at the window (you can see colors if you move underneath it, but none show up on the floor / walls) and it is SCORCHING hot to the touch based on the sun hitting it. That was possibly the case before putting it on, but it seems nerve wracking how hot the window decal is if you touch it (hopefully not a fire hazard). Otherwise it’s been great!

Absolutely LOVE the results! BUT FOREWARNING, because I originally made this mistake, to make sure the smooth side goes on the window (not the slight textured side). Also, you’re going to want to use a bigger squirt bottle than the one given to you.Application is considered easy, but I’m a perfectionist so it came with some challenges for me. I bought these for added privacy, especially at night, and these get the job done!

Added privacy and beautiful colors
I live in a neighborhood where homes are pretty close together. I also have a handicapped spouse who needs as much daylight as possible to make moving around our house easy. I removed some blinds from a floor to ceiling bay window and applied this film. We both love it! It gives us moderate privacy and wonderful, colorful light inside our home. This is in our kitchen so I appreciate the extra light as well. As I mentioned, it does give us privacy. Having close neighbors was not an issue. We didn’t feel as though we would be stared at but not looking at the HVAC unit and the brick side of their house is an added benefit. The install was a little tedious as the windows are true divided light panes – not grills between the glass. Each piece had to be cut and installed individually. The end result was well worth the effort and time to do this project.

Bei dem Preis habe ich trotzdem zugeschlagen und es nicht bereut.Wichtig ist, dass keine Seifenlösung sondern eine Lösung aus Wasser und NEUTRALREINIGER verwendet wird. Durch den NEUTRALREINIGER (ich habe den günstigsten bei Edeka gekauft) kommt es zu keiner Schlierenbildung. Außerdem ist es wichtig die Glasscheibe vorher ordentlich zu reinigen und zur Not auch mit einem Ceranfeldkratzer grobe Verunreinigungen zu entfernen. Danach sollte die Scheibe mit der Lösung großzügig benetzt werden –> das erkennt man daran, dass die Folie sich auf der Scheibe bewegen lässt. Danach muss von innen nach Außen die Lösung herausgedrückt werden. Ich habe dafür einen Duschabzieher genommen. Wenn man das ordentlich macht, dann lässt sich die Folie nicht mehr verschieben. Mit einem Cuttermesser habe ich danach die Enden abgeschnitten und nochmal alles schön mit dem Duschabzieher bearbeitet. An einer Seite wollte die Folie tatsächlich nicht halten. Das lag daran, dass diese bei der Lieferung auf einer Rolle aufgerollt wird und die Folie sich am Ende leicht gewölbt hat. Als Lösung habe ich die Enden auf die andere Seite vorsichtig geknickt wodurch die Folie dann wieder gerade war. Danach konnte ich diese problemlos befestigen.Übrigens lässt sich die Folie prima alleine anbringen und man hat mehrere Versuche, falls irgendwas misslingt oder man dennoch Dreck an der Scheibe finden.Die Folie ist wunderbar blickdicht aber trotzdem lichtdurchlässig. Zum UV-Schutz kann ich leider wenig sagen.

I wanted to get a beautiful tint to cover my window, not all the way to the top but same level as the neighbours houses because I couldn’t leave my window open without people being able to look into my entire room. Now I can have my window open with privacy!!!!I’ve had a look from the outside myself, I wish it was slightly more tinted but no one would be able to make out what’s inside of your room, only like a silhouette of a person. Thats with my lights on, which is pretty amazing!I’ll test it with someone standing there and update you guys.Otherwise it’s pretty perfect! Can’t wait to see it when the sun shines through it!!! I’ve never done a tint before, watching “How to install window film” from Bunnings helped a LOT !!! It was really easy and perfect!!! Thank you!!!

Was trying to look for a solution to block snoopys view from trying to acknowledge all the passerby’s and not lose the ambience and enjoyment of our windows and light. Found this window privacy film and it works wonders! It was easy to install, looks so pretty (the rainbow reflection brings so much joy) and is really great quality. My only complaint would be that I had to add a couple small pieces of tape in the corners because the edges didn’t quite static and stick due to curl direction. No big though as it’s not even noticeable. And they are sticking on windows that get to upwards of -30 degrees Celsius – I’m really happy about this. The biggest pro is that Snoopy can’t just walk up to the window and start barking – excellent product for dog training 101- can’t see, can’t bark 🙂

I am really sorry but this is so dark that it is completely unsuitable if you want light in your room. I have fitted window film before without a problem but I could not get the finish clear no matter what I tried. My wife said that she could not identify the flowers in the garden through it, it is so poor.I have taken it off the window and will have to look for something better
