    Works with Alexa
I was looking for a product that would integrate with alexa with additional subscriptions. You will need to download the trulife app and manually add it to alexa as it’s a 3rd party application. I only use this to notify me if/when the door opens. I am able to see through alexa or the trulife app if the door is closed. Peace of mind.

    Standard smart door sensor
I like having a smart home. When available, I try to add as many devices as possible around my house – both for the functionality (ie. notifications, alerts, ‘triggering’) as well as the safety. I really value having one devices talking to another (or really, reacting & taking action based on another).Admittedly, most of my devices use a Z-wave radio/network. Some of my devices use a Zigbee radio/network. As both of those networks are mesh, there was value to ‘the more the merrirer’ to build as strong of a network as possible (although, still frustrating that I have to be continually be ‘starting over’ with new networks). Having this door sensor as a wi-fi device addresses the ‘needing to build a network’ issue, but at the same time – being all of the different devices & gadgets that we have nowadays, I’m increasingly worried about network congestion. I have my IoT (Internet of Things) devices on a seperate SSID, but I am worried that at some point – ‘streaming a movie’ is going to interfere with ‘security & safety’ or vice versa. All of that said, I was happy with the sensor itself. It was easy to install, well-sized, and adding it to my smart home network was easy enough. I use a SmartThings hub to control everything, but I added this to my Treatlife app & then imported it into SmartThings. A direct integration would have been better, but… whatever. I only need to go through that process once & there isn’t really any functionality that I feel that I’m missing through the SmartThings import.I’m happy with this sensor & happy to recommend it to others.

    Pretty good smart sensor
This smart sensor works good. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with Home Assistant. That said the controls are extremely responsive. It seems to be excellent at saving its battery, meaning it’s not exactly on all the time, running the battery down. The app for controlling it on your phone is actually good. It has a very good layout and user interface.I read somewhere online that the firmware could be reflashed on a sensor of this brand so that I could use the sensor with Home Assistant. Unfortunately, it turned out that I don’t have the soldering skills to actually make that happen. Live and learn. This door sensor is a good value for its price. But because it does not work with Home Assistant, I would not order one again.

Awesome! A Real Wi-Fi Direct Connected Door Sensor, Hard to Find!
I have only good things to say about this TreatLife Wi-Fi Door Sensor, it was something I had been looking for a good while. Most smart home/security system add-ons usually connect through a proprietary hub or through Bluetooth direct to a phone app. This sensor actually can connect through 2.4ghz Wi-Fi directly. This was great, as I was able to track an actual IP/MAC and know exactly what my connection is and what it is doing at all times. The kit comes with everything you need to add it in to any existing smart home and security setup. You can view and work it through multiple apps, including Tuya, SmartLife, Home Assistant, etc. It also works good with Alexa and Google voice command once you get the apps integrated and enable the Skills correctly. I used this to hook to a rear door that get’s a lot of use and wanted something that was more reliable then just a plain Z-commo style door magnet sensor.Installation was super easy, just like any other door or window sensor. It actually even came with batteries to get you started, but I recommend using lithium batteries in all smart home and security devices. I was up and running within minutes and was able to customize it a great deal. You can really do a lot with it if you know a bit about smart home communications or even just using IFTTT or similar connectors. Made well, sturdy materials, great functionality, easy to setup, 5 Stars.

Ok, but didn’t work for me.
Magnet it too small. Falls off door / doesn’t stick well. Was easy to set up on phone, and i did appreciate that it was not a bulky device. Not best choice for doors with framing. Would recommend for back sliding door or maybe window.

    Worked but…
There was a bit of a delay in receiving a response. Have your own double sided tape. The tape included didn’t last.

    Easy To Use
The WiFi Smart Indoor Entry Sensor is an excellent addition to my home security system. It’s easy to install and set up, working right out of the box and adhering well to my trim. The sensor functions effectively with gaps of up to 0.39 inches (1 cm), which is great for surfaces that aren’t perfectly flush. Its compact size means it doesn’t take up much space and is barely noticeable. The price is reasonable, and the Wi-Fi connectivity is reliable, making setup a breeze. I receive real-time notifications on my smartphone whenever a door or window opens or closes. I appreciate the discreet design and battery efficiency, though a longer range would be beneficial for larger homes.
