Drip drip drop, there goes an eargasm!
I’m usually the type who treats earbuds like tiny, high-tech minions, but the Soundcore A30i by Anker has me rethinking everything. These lipstick-shaped wonders come in a case that’s so cool it practically has its own fan club. They fit my ears so perfectly I’m convinced they were crafted by the tech gods themselves. And then there’s the moment of truth: “Is that Lipstick? Is that a personal massager? Nope. But it will cause an eargasm!” With smart noise cancelling and crystal-clear sound, these buds turn my daily commute into a private concert—minus the high price tag. At under $20 on sale, they’re the best earbuds you can snag on a budget. Add in 15 hours of playtime in ANC mode, an IP54 rating for splash and dust resistance, and Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable connection, and you’ve got a pair of wireless earbuds that can take on the world.Bottom line? The Soundcore A30i is a quirky, budget-friendly masterpiece that delivers both style and performance—proof that great things really do come in small, lipstick-shaped packages.

    Synching issues -fixed
Final update:The replacement earbuds sent via a warranty claim (no cost to me) are working much better. The ANC is still only a 3 out of 5, but the synching issues are rare and usually only occur when I’m connected to two devices at once. Overall, these earbuds are well worth the money considering they’re less than $50. If you purchase these and have significant issues, try all the trouble shooting steps suggested on the app, and if that doesn’t fix it, the manufacturer is extremely quick on providing replacements through their warranty.First Update to my review: Anker suggested replacing my earbuds via the warranty, so I can say their customer service is great and quite responsive so far. I will update again after trying out the replacement earbuds. I’m giving them a star rating increase (for now) from one to three based on my experience with customer service.Original review:Unfortunately, there are so many synching issues that I feel compelled to say DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.The earbuds fit well and they look nice. As far as value, I would repeat my first sentence.Initially the sound was great and still is when the ear buds actually synch properly (which never lasts long). The ANC options seem decent, but I don’t know if I’ll continue to use these long enough to truly test the ANC out of the house. The app is great; it has many equalizer options and other sound options. The app also has many tutorials on ways to possibly fix synching and battery issues. Unfortunately, none of the “fixes” last very long. The battery in the left ear bud drains nearly twice as fast as the right. The suggested fixes haven’t helped. The sound often becomes unsynchronized, even when every ANC feature is not in use. Examples of the synching issues include:One earbud has a slight delay, causing an echo-like effect,or sound goes out completely in one earbud at a time, often self correcting before the other earbud starts doing the same, or an earbud loses connection then power (even when the battery is not low) and won’t restart until you drop it in the charging case to reboot it.I have had many Bluetooth earbuds and none of them have had synching issues like this. I’m wondering if these earbuds would have worked better if the app hadn’t updated the firmware on them as soon as they initially connected.

Flat mid-range, but good inexpensive earbud. More secure fit than stem type earbuds.
I ordered these a30i earbuds because I wanted an earbud that stayed securely in my ear during activities. They were on sale for $16. I already have the life p3 earbuds. The a30i do fit in my ear better than the longer “stem” type earbuds. They’re trickier to place, but are more secure once in place. I can shake my head vigorously, side to side, and they don’t move. I haven’t tested them in sweaty conditions (running, exercising, etc). The sound quality is good for the price, but generally just ok. The mids are flat. If you download the soundcore app, you can adjust the eq and this helps somewhat. The life p3 earbuds I have sound better, but these still sound good. The ANC is pretty good for the price. It effectively cancels out maybe 90% – 95% of ambient noises? You can still hear/feel a little bit of the ambient sound, but not much. Be aware, no ANC on any earbud regardless of price will cancel higher frequency sounds(running water tinkling into sink). It only cancels lower frequencies (road noise from tires). I think the ANC on these is better than on my life p3 earbuds.Overall, I like them. I wish they had a better midrange sound quality, but I like the smaller size and more secure fit than stem type earbuds. I absolutely feel like these are worth $16!

    All time fav earbuds
Whpever thougjt of this idea is a genius!! haha I was looking for small/”mini” earbud/bluetooth cause I’m holding on for dear life w/the one Ive had for years & its the perfect size for my small ears. I always order them but think they got discont. anytime I try to order mini earbuds they are not so mini..the lipstick case is wht attracted me to them & seen they were small. They did not disappoint! They have all the main features I’m looking for & most of all they fit snug in my small ears. The sound quality is great! I just love them!! They are affordable, def getting more colors!..*update* con: the noise cancelation isn’t quite up to standard..I think the noise around u has to be low & music turned up is wht makes noise cancelation with these ear buds..I can still hear my TV thru the music not clear of course but I hear it in background.Update: these buds are still functioning however I’ve noticed some things since I’ve been using them…They will pair while in charging case..which causes them NOT to charge. U can have 1 in the other in case and I will switch buds.If I’m using a whole diff ear bud the soundcore will automatically connect. Don’t like that. When I need them the battery is drained. So I guess something is not letting them charge or disconnect. I might have to fully unpaired when not in use but who has time for that…I really liked these buds but they are becoming a pain. Had to take away stars.

These have been awesome. Great clear sound, good noise cancelling, comfortable, long battery life, and the microphone works very well on both ends for calls. They seem quite durable too, I even had one fall into a sink of running water and it was fine. One issue is that they can get a little lose, hence falling into the sink, so they might not work for anyone who wants them for working out. If you need buds that stay in better I would suggest getting the Anker Soundcore Sport X20 instead.

This is just too good for the price and I’m absolutely happy with this product. Owning a oppo enco w11 for the past 4 years, I wanted an upgrade and didn’t want to spend much and found this. I got this for just 2k and it delivers much more than that. The in hand feel is quite premium and the lipstick design is super cool, just stands out from the crowd of same looking tws that’s already out there. Smooth sliding action to reveal the buds and snaps back with a gentle push. The magnets for the case and the buds are strong, I shook them well and they just kept resisting. Bright led showcasing charging statuses on the case. There is a slight flex or movement with the case but not a big issue. The buds fit well in my ears, I use the default medium tips and the sit comfortably. The bean style shape of the buds help them go deep giving a good passive isolation, it also helps greatly with sound quality. Touch controls are very responsive and give a short sound to confirm the touch, quite handy.Feature set is amazing. I found anc just decent, filters outside noise to an ok level but is still audible to a small extent. Transparency mode was impressive, boosts ambient noise well and also relived some ear pressure for me. Mic performance was average but good for indoor usage, other person was able to listen me. Dual device pairing worked well, tried it with my laptop and iPhone, no issues. Overall connection was also stable, no drops encountered and connected quickly with the iPhone each time. Also noticed connection happens only after u take the buds out of the case, nothing happens when u just open the case, quite weird there. The sound quality impressed me. My previous enco w11 is more flat sounding/balanced, reading and viewing reviews about the a30i said the bass is extra, but I still gambled on that. No problem i still enjoy this, the bass is slightly emphasised but the other frequencies are still bright enough and overall very well sounding. There’s also many presets and full band equaliser in the app. I found the surround sound very lacking or just useless so turned it off, the default soundcore signature is just fine. Volume levels maybe a bit low for some, but turning on surround sound pushes a couple of levels up.Cannot really comment on battery life because haven’t used that intensively yet. But while testing them used it slightly more than an hour and the buds dropped to 90%, I think they should be decent.Make use of the app to customise touch controls, battery levels, controlling ambient modes, sound presets and importantly receive firmware updates. Weird that the case battery is not visible anywhere. If u see a new connection named ‘soundcore a30i le’ it’s just the app connecting via the phone’s Bluetooth with the buds, don’t worry.Overall very satisfied the with soundcore a30i. Highly recommended!
