They just work using SmartThings
These things are awesome. If you want to remotely or just turn on a USB device, these are awesome. They connect to smart things effortlessly and the best part is you don’t need any third party apps to get these working. They were a little on the pricey side even though you got 2. They do work and I didn’t have any issues with them. I probably won’t get them again unless they offer them at a cheaper price. At least $10 cheaper. But if money isn’t an issue, I would highly recommend them. They also work with there smart button and that’s what I use to power these on.

I use Home Assistant for my smart home. These work great! I bought 2 of them for 2 tablets. These are older tablets that don’t have the battery maintenance option, so I can set these plugs to turn on/off at 20% or 80% battery charge. Not I don’t have to worry about battery over charging. I did lose another device to that. Plus I didn’t need anything else added to my smart home setup to get these to work! No additional Sonoff app, api, etc. They connected directly to HA and I would get more of they also had USB-C, too. Then I could set the phone charger in the bedroom for 50% to 80%. My phone automatically stops at 80%, but I’m on call 24×7 every other week, so I’ll have a mostly charged phone, at minimum, if I get called out in the middle of the night

This is a perfect solution for anything usb powered that you want to control. I connected it to my Smartthings hub. My daughter connected another to her Echo. We control usb powered lighted signs.

Ok, I have a zigbee network next to my wifi network. So, go figure when I decided to take a 30w solar panel, a 10ah lifepo4 battery, solar controller and a mesh router out in my large back yard for my motion cameras. (7 acers)This sonoff USB Switch is also a zigbee repeater, so now I have a zigbee repeater in my back yard! I can use dc powered devices back there, like for controlling a shooting range for instance) and I can control when my solar camera charges. (I can schedule it now for say, 10am to 2pm)I have 2, but I am going to order more!

Okay so they do work but are a pain to get connected with Alexa and are its very off putting that so off requires you to buy their bridge or their hub in order to use all features.

Got these to fix a zigbee network that was constantly dropping off devices here and there, sometimes after minutes sometimes after days, since installing these in some locations throughout the house the links of devices all skyrocketed to 120+ link quality and my whole network seems to be stable, now its been a few days and no drop offs have happened!Using these with zigbee2mqtt pairing was fast and the rf turbo mode is available and turning it on increased the link quality even more. Since i got low amounts of 2.4ghz equipment this is not an issue.The plus side is the toggle for the usb port, fibally a way to turn a “smart” led light on and off with automation.The switch is silent, has no sound what so ever when turning on or off.Definitely a great addition to my zigbee network all sems to be stable and happy. The ends are a bit bulky but not a problem.Can be powered from a wall outlet, a phone charger or any usb port really.Might be a bit expensive but worth it. Works with aqara sensors as well as tuya and sonoff.

Bought these to extend the number of items connected to my Zigbee Gateway. The gateway could only handle 10 end devices (ones with batteries) but by using these mains powered usb charger plugs (also function as repeaters/extenders) it allows more devices to be added to the gateway by routing the Zigbee communications. Seems strange but it worked!Happy with all the Sonoff products.
