Great universal remote
I’ve been using the Sofabaton U2 Universal Remote for a while now, and it’s honestly a game-changer. I was tired of juggling multiple remotes for my TV, sound system, and streaming devices, and this remote finally gave me a way to control everything with one device.Setting it up was surprisingly easy. The Sofabaton app walks you through the process, and it recognized most of my devices instantly. For the ones it didn’t, the learning function worked like a charm. The scroll wheel is a nice touch, making it simple to switch between devices without hunting for buttons.What really stands out is the macro feature—I programmed a single button to turn on my TV, receiver, and soundbar at the same time, which saves a ton of hassle. The build quality is solid too; it feels comfortable in the hand and not cheap like some other universal remotes I’ve tried.If you’re looking for a reasonably priced, easy-to-use universal remote that actually does what it promises, the Sofabaton U2 is absolutely worth it.

Best universal remote I’ve ever used.
Upgraded my existing sofa baton remote with this model. This universal remote is simply the best. It’s the only one I’ve found that seamlessly merges my television, surround sound tuner, and streaming box. Every command works. Pairing is super easy. I’m sure it would take on more if I had moredevices to add. Really can’t say enough about it after having other universal remotes that were a total let down. Can’t beat it for the money.

Loads of possibilities but it needs tweaking
A lot of customization is possible, but it is not very intuitive/ easy. I have devices like Zidoo and NVIDIA Shield (both work on Bluetooth as opposed to IR) that needed a WHOLE LOT OF trial and error. Their UI on the App could be better. For a tech savvy person, this is a great remote (after the demise of Logitech remotes), but if you have niche media devices and/or want something easy out of he box, this is not for you.

Works pretty well and is easy to program. IMO it comes up a little short when compared to the Harmony 650. No “activities” here. But, other than that, it is a capable remote. I sit about 11 feet away from the home theater stuff and haven’t had any issues with the remote triggering my stuff. If you’re not looking for a Harmony replacement, I think you’ll be satisfied.

The Sofabaton U2 is very well designed, easy to program and use. Admittedly, I watched every YouTube I could find on this device BEFORE receiving it. That made it even easier.Hints:1. Write an “all equipment power off macro” for the TV button at each equipment (scroll wheel). No matter which [or if all] equipment are on, when you are ready for a full shutdown of your home theatre equipment, they all shut down when you press the TV button no matter which equipment is selected.The above works hand and hand with the next hint.2. Macros at each equipment should use the Power Up command, not the Power Toggle or the Power icon/button. To change to another equipment source (DVD, Blu-ray, etc) just scroll wheel to other input then select the macro you assigned. Do not first re-run the last macro at the last source that you ran. If you like to shutdown individual equipment, click its power button.I really like this universal remote.

Great Concept/Poor Customer Experience Execution
Great concept, fair design, poor execution. I mirror other comments that it would be nice to know what devices are in the database before ordering. Of the 4 devices in my system — TV, Receiver, DVD Player, and Streaming Box — all top tier name brands — LG, Denon, Samsung, Roku — only the Roku Box is listed. I used the “learn” mode for the TV on/off which is really all I need, so able to live with that. But even though in the database, after download the Roku Box remote didn’t include right arrow – I had to manually program that. I attempted to use “learning mode” for the Receiver, and would have been okay with just On/Off and Volume, but could only get “On” to work — no “Off.” Volume similar, “Up” or “Down” but not both. Didn’t even try the DVD player at this point. This would be a great product if 1) the device database was more complete and available for review prior to purchase, and 2) more thought/effort given to the overall customer experience. This should work, as much as possible with limited/simple configuration, right out of the box without requiring YouTube videos, online tutorials, or time on customer service calls just to make it do what we were sold it would do.

Definitely worth it…
The latest version of this is a game changer. Although I liked the previous version this one has upped the game. The ability to learn is limitless and the ease of programming makes this useful to all users, from your every day to advanced. I have been a Harmony user and lately it has seemed to become more difficult to adjust or reprogram their remotes. This has been easy!! Also note, I feel the response time has also quickened from the previous version to this one and that may not be a big deal with many but for me I have noticed and enjoyed it. Finally, remote distance for me was needed. In one area that I use this remote is an open floor plan and I am constantly in various areas and distances. It has worked flawlessly no matter the distance of angles. Love this remote and the products!

I’ve used the U1 and previous generation U2 and this refresh has fixed the couple issues with the last remote. The new backlighting works well and the device selector is much better. I like it is easy to have multiple devices and the automatic button mapping for my devices.
