Would change all my doors to this knob. Perfect.
Okay this little door know is a great buy. It came in time shipped appropriately so there was no damage. Directions are there but I hardly read them. This was one of the most easiest set ups ever and I have a bunch of number locks. The coolness is what I like meaning there is two keys that come with luck when you look at the door knob you would never know the lock is underneath that I like a lot. Even though I have never once in 2 years have had to use my keys nor have I had a problem with the number lock pad itself. Installation was simple both parts of the normal on one side of the door it screws into each other where you add batteries. I did not add rechargeable batteries just Duracell batteries. There is on the inside part of the door a charge slot which the door knob comes with a charger where you can charge it by Electric also. I have only had to change the batteries once in 2 years and with that being said was not locked out of the house it gave a lower tone noise letting you know when pressing the buttons the batteries were dying to give you ample time to change them if I could being on a limited income I would change every single door knob and keypad lock in my house to this lock. This lock that’s five stars all the way around and would definitely buy it again. The keypad is easy to program. There is also a way that you can press your code with other numbers if someone is there so they do not know the code to the house ….that is even better…smart. For me it’s the little things that matter the most. This doorknob 100% would buy it again.

Beware – May lock you outside and you may be unable to get in.
The lock is cheap and does not work as intended. I was locked outside and could see that even after entering the code and turning the knob, the deadbolt will not completely go inside. I tried the key and still it did not work. After about 15 minutes wrestling with the lock, I tried to move the deadbolt inside the lock using a very thin metallic ruler and sliding it between the door frame and lock to move the deadbolt that got stuck. That did the trick and I was then able to open it using the key. While the look and feel of the lock is great, the code works as intended but unfortunately mechanically the lock is not sturdy. I was expecting, the lock to work flawlessly using the key but that was not the case.Upon disassembling the lock, I realized the spindle is loose and wiggles. It is not sturdy and whenever you turn the knob, the bolt moves in and out inconsistently (sometimes work fine and sometimes it just doesn’t go all the in). And that is the reason why one may get stuck.

Very easy to install and program. Not a huge issue but they are not common keyed if you buy multiple which is good or bad depending on your purposing. They are uniquely keyed. Secondly, when the batteries start to die there is no warning and the tumbler just doesn’t turn anymore which could be an issue if you don’t have the key. Lastly, tried to use rechargeable batteries and they don’t work. Not enough voltage I’m assuming. Seems to require 1.5v and not 1.2v most rechargeable batteries provide.

Easy to install, smooth operating, and very attractive electronic keyless entry. I went old-school: no fingerprint or smart interface, just enter the code on the keypad.They appear even more solid than the old manual doorknobs I replaced… though looks can deceive and only time will tell if these outlast the 20-year-old knobs this replaced.Though I was a bit worried that these would not match my brushed bronze Kwikset Keyless Electronic deadbolts being matte black, but I purchased them based on the sales price and reviews. Glad I did. Together with the traditionally styled deadbolt (see here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBJQKV5K), completed with a beveled arch, these Buoan keyless doorknobs make my 1920s bungalow look updated while keeping the old-school vibe.For best security, though, get a deadbolt since morticed knobs like this are easier to break into. For even better theft deterence, get a doorbell with a cam monitored by your alarm company.P.S. My girl says my interior design style is an Organic mix between Farmhouse, Minimalist, and Bohemian… whatever that means. Regardless, this knob matches those styles well in black, and blends quite well with the brushed bronze of my deadbolts and interior doorknobs.
