for really low doors
I purchased a supposedly low-profile door mat but my door must be still too low, so I returned it. This also claimed to be a low-profile mat in the dimensions that I needed, so this was my replacement. This works perfect – so if the gap under your door is really minimal, this probably will work. It is a nice-looking mat – and quality made. It is fairly easy to vacuum – although some things have a bit harder time getting up (like fine dog hair) – but that could be my junky vacuum cleaner. It has a heavy-duty textured rubber backing – so no skidding or marring of the wood that it is on. The ‘carpeted’ top is tight weave, with almost no pile, which – of course – allows for minimal height. What appears to help the most is that the outside edges are ramped/beveled, in a rubber trim. That allows for the door to slide right over the mat. My only complaint is how long it took to flatten after taking it out of the box. It came rolled and I flipped it many times to soften the rolled ends. I’d say it took almost a week to flatten satisfactorily for use. Had I put heavy objects on the ends that may have quickened the process – but I wasn’t in a hurry.

Great little rug
This rug is very nice for the back step on my porch. Catches dirt and grass and is the perfect size for the step. It’s a little smaller than I expected, but it turned out to be what I needed.

~ 2” pine needles stick to it badly/cannot sweep or shake off~
~ I’m not thrilled, it is thick quality Matt/carpet though for me living in the forrest of North Idaho with three doglets, tiny pine needles and me working/feeding livestock/going in and out throughout the days all these tiny pine needles stick to carpet. I cannot vacuum them off nor shake them off.I had to aggressively hit the Matt against outside fence then pick off needles then throw in washer.Does work for doglets feet and mud they bring in along with mine too.So if you have zero of these needles it may be great for you.Small is too small for me and I ordered small. My fault.Gave a four maybe it’s not fair ….. sad it won’t work for my pets.It is a nice carpet/ Matt, thick, heavy duty, went thru washer just fine ( hung dry), nice dark rust red color.

This mat has been great—stays in place thanks to the rubber backing, traps dirt and moisture well, and is easy to clean (just shake, sweep, vacuum, or hose it down) . It’s low-profile so doors open smoothly, though it can take a day or two to flatten after unrolling . it’s a reliable, budget-friendly pick . My only negative is I wish I would’ve done a different color because my dogs have light color fur and their dog hair gets all over it.

OMG, I just have to rave about this front mat I got on Amazon! Seriously, it’s the best thing ever; I can’t believe I lived without it for so long.
