Great Tool. Should’ve had this a long time ago.
So far so good. This review is strictly regarding the device, not the enharent services of GlocalMe. Although, they provided 1GB free.To be concise, I used this for HS connection for mobile DJying. I normally have my MacBook Pro and Denon Prime 4 connected simultaneously during gigs.Performance has been nothing short of excellent. Through 6 gigs now, no drops, and always a great signal. I purchased a 365 day 50 GB data simm from Amazon to use with it. Simm inserted without issue, initialized and connect to a cell provider with in less than a minute.I highly recommend if you have a similar need.

Very fast and reliable
I’ve used this device for 4 days now and love it. It does everything it says. It’s fast and can be used anywhere. You can connect up to 16 devices to it. I use it all the time.

Returned It
The hotspot itself works really well, but that’s about it. Extremely overpriced (both the hotspot and most of the plans), and they limit which users can get which plans. So, though it’s supposed to be a 5G hotspot and though their website shows more 5G plans available, for me there was only one extremely expensive 5G plan per month that I could buy…which basically made this an expensive 4G device, for me. If I wanted a 4G device, I could have ordered a much cheaper one. I sent this back and got the Jextream 5G Mobile Hotspot from T-Mobile, and that works just as well with more affordable and diverse plans. Also, the prices listed on this product page…some of them are incorrect and less than what you might get as an option for you when you buy this.

A simple and effective 4G LTE/5G hotspot
Purchased this to take advantage of the 5G coverage in my area. I work from home almost exclusively, but there are days that I want to work from a local coffee shop or simply out from my own home office. This device keeps me connected, not to mention the consistent speed and connection! Your mileage may vary so consider checking cell coverage (T-Mobile) in your area should you want the same. I haven’t had the opportunity to review the international reliability of this device since I haven’t traveled out of the country since the purchase. The hotspot has both cloudSIM (their paid service) and regular nano SIM functionality which is pretty convenient. I don’t use this every day, but from what I can tell, the battery life is pretty good — an hour of use knocked about 5-8%. Again, this is fine for me since I don’t use this all the time, but you be the judge if that’s too short for you.Obviously you’re paying a premium for this, but I find the features and functionality to be worth it (by comparison to other similar devices out there). No frills and to the point.

Failed in less than one year
I bought this 5G hotspot router less than a year ago (by 3 weeks). I am currently out on a trip, and the device has failed overnight. Worked great yesterday, and now it has a dead battery that will not accept a charge. Other than that, I have been extremely pleased with the unit. Very fast internet connectivity. Easy setup. I have been using it with a T-Mobile 5G mobile hotspot SIM (the only type of SIM that T-Mo will allow in a third-party hotspot). I will order another one if this one is not still under a warranty. It did receive a firmware update yesterday. I have no idea whether that has somehow resulted in the battery failure or not.Update: Two things of note here. One is that I attempted to reach out to the support at GlocalMe via the link on their website about any sort of warranty service or replacement. That e-mail bounced.Second, I plugged the old router into a newer charger unit (USB C with QC 3.x support) and the unit charged back up again. It also held the charge completely overnight, while the router was turned off. So it does not appear that the battery has failed. Now I’m wondering more about the firmware update. The charger I was using while on the road was able to charge my laptop via USB C without a problem, so I know that it did not fail. I will update further if more develops. I did upgrade my rating to 4 stars, because the unit really is great when it is running. Just knocking a star off because of the lack of a way to contact the support group.

Problem w/ the HotSpot screen
The display screen stopped working after 2 day of use. While the hotspot remain operational, without the working screen, it was difficult to add new user to the Wifi.

Exactly what I had been looking for
I occasionally travel for work and often find myself in places with limited connection. I had been happy with a competitor’s e-sim travel data services until recently, when lack of coverage (due to the service’s arrangements with only 1 local telco in two separate countries) led to missed appointments and nightmarish video conferences.I was introduced to GlocalMe’s Numen Air by an employee of uCloudlink (parent company of GlocalMe), while in Saudi Arabia. He kindly allowed me to connect via this device as I had struggled with poor (3G) connection from another operator. I was blown away by its speed and connectivity. I appreciate that uCloudlink has arrangements with multiple local telcos (not only 1) and that the device will always connect to the local telco providing the best connection at each location.I purchased this device ahead of my latest trip back to the US and I am pleased to report that it works as well as expected. The navigation menu is simple and straight-forward; setting it up was a breeze. For connection by older mobile devices, I can easily switch Numen Air’s WiFi from 5GHz to 2.4GHz. Pricing-wise, the cost of data is comparable to similar e-sim data services. Frankly, there is no need to take the specific [5G] plans as normal plans will connect to the highest speed, where applicable (which is 5G).Pros: easy to set up and use, steady-good connectivity, comparable cost, multiple device connections, ability to complete VC calls from different parts of the world without hassleCons: daily charging when in use, need to carry another deviceThe pros do outweigh the cons. I therefore recommend this Item.

I want to express my annoyance and deep disappointment with this company, from which I purchased a GlocalMe Numen Air 5G Mobile WiFi Router WiFi.It’s worth mentioning that I had used a Solis Mobile 4G router for years, but when I decided to upgrade to a 5G device, the only option I found on Amazon was the GlocalMe, so I purchased it for AED 1,300.I am a verified buyer with over 14 years of purchase history, a Prime member who buys at least three items per week, and I have been living in the UAE for years.I received the package in the afternoon, and I opened it that evening after work when I had time to check it. I downloaded the app but was shocked by how expensive the plans were—almost double compared to the ones I usually used with Solis.Because of this, I didn’t purchase a data plan and decided to return the device (which I never used, as it doesn’t work without a data plan). I repacked it, notified Amazon of the return, and waited, as I usually do with any unsatisfactory product. The unpleasant surprises began when I was informed that they don’t have an agreement for Amazon to arrange a pickup, so I had to handle the return process and pay for shipping myself. It’s important to mention that this detail is not stated anywhere when they advertise their product. When they finally received the package, they informed me that they would only refund AED 698 (out of the AED 1,300 I paid) because the seal was broken and the device had “evident signs of use.”They sent me an email informing me of their return policy:“For open box returns, we may charge up to 100% restocking fees on the product.”So, for breaking a plastic seal (a sticker worth less than 10 cents), they claim the right to keep up to 100% of your money! They also claimed the device showed “evident signs of use.”How can they be so dishonest just to keep my money? They know perfectly well that the router doesn’t work without an associated data plan, which I DID NOT PURCHASE. Therefore, it is more than obvious that I could not have used the device.Their argument is 100% false.I DID NOT USE IT!I simply returned it to its box as it was. If the seal was broken, it’s because I checked the product, as downloading the app requires scanning a QR code on the router. What a way to profit from a return!Such bad practices!Lastly, I encourage you to download the GlocalMe app before purchasing, as it’s the only way to access their pricing.I also invite you to compare their rates with the Solis 5G HotSpot, which I ultimately purchased on eBay (it arrived in 10 days from the USA and cost AED 1,600).eBay listing for Solis 5G HotspotWith Solis, you also need the app to access the plans (Solis App on the Apple Store), but you’ll notice that their rates are much cheaper.Additionally, the Solis Hotspot comes with 1GB of free monthly data for life.Do the math!I cannot speak for the GlocalMe device itself because I didn’t have the chance to use it. What bothers me the most are their exorbitant prices and abusive practices.I hope this review helps others avoid falling into their trap as I did.Have a good day.
