Very Handy Cabinets – Difficult Size To Find. Quite Happy With Them!
Hi everybody. Am perplexed by some of the negative reviews and comments I am seeing here about this cabinet. We liked it so much, that we ordered a second one and placed them side by side. This size is very difficult, if not impossible to find! We needed a cabinet to organize some things we had stored in our entry way, such as bags of pet food, extra bottles of water, soda, seltzer, etc. that were in plain sight and looked just way too cluttered. The entry is not a large area at all and at 12.5 ” deep, this was the ideal depth for us, as it contains all that we wanted to store in it with ease, and does not jut out too far, which would block the entry window, and also make exiting and entering more awkward. For this reason, the shorter height was also ideal for our purposes, as anything taller would simply “take over” the entry with respect to size. It’s also nice to be able to neatly store a few things on top of it and have them easily within reach. It is easily sturdy enough for our purposes, and again, I am simply not understanding why people are complaining about this, as ours seems to be more than sufficiently sturdy to accommodate our needs.As for assembly, this really was not the nightmare which some reviewers are describing at all. Simply followed the directions, assembled the cabinet face down, (on the doors), and stood it up when finished. The only tools required were a hammer and a Phillps’ screwdriver, NOT a power drill or power screwdriver as these are constructed out of particle board and that would be overkill and strip the screws! That simple. Regarding the gaps that some are describing, ours may have a VERY slight gap between the doors, but nothing worthy of noting or anything to complain about. Speaking of the doors, I would like to add that since, as mentioned, we were trying to work with a very small space, the double doors were a MUCH better option for us as opposed to the single door cabinets. Just another thing to bear in mind. We were concerned that these would take a beating during shipping and arrive in questionable shape, but this concern was unwarranted, since they arrived in great condition. All in all, we are very, very happy with these cabinets. No complaints at all.

Perfect for Apartment
My daughter put together in 90 minutes. I live in an apartment (small dining space). This fit the bill.A little wobbly since I didn’t want to attach to wall. Once all my food (can goods, cereal, boxed food, etc) was inside – not wobbly anymore!Very pleased!

Low cost storage but don’t expect it to be pretty
I bought 4 of these to store art and craft supplies. They are pretty easy to put together and seem sturdy enough but every single one arrived with some sort of damage, mostly on the short edges near the corners. The way they have them packed for shipping it’s not surprising. I know that are only $100 but if closet maid just spent $5 more the packaging their customers might get a nicer product

I bought this in 2023 for our exercise room to hold games and equipment. Like others, the front doors were very lightly sprayed and the paint is so thin you can see through it. The cabinet has a severe tipping issue, we used shims and make sure the heavy items are on the bottom (in case you didn’t know – always put the heaviest items on the bottom shelves not the top shelves in any cabinet unless anchored to the wall – especially if there is any possibility of earthquake). I came back on today so see if anyone had commented on re-painting. One person says nothing sticks and another said they sanded it – I guess we’ll try sanding. I’ve bought ClosetMaid in the past and they were great. This smelled like a buyout and I was right. Corporations buy out really great products then ruin them. From Google research: Emerson Electric Co. created ClosetMaid back in the 60s. In 2017, Emerson sold ClosetMaid to Griffon Corporation for $260 million.

I would give this zero stars if I could. I wish I had read all the reviews before hand, but lesson learned.First of all, the back IS NOT WOOD AS DESCRIBED!! And it requires quite a bit of installation. The holes were not made right so things didn’t match up. The back has now completely torn as it’s only cardboard held on by nails. Very poor quality!! I would NOT recommend this!!

This storage pantry is excellent! It’s a little smaller than we actually wanted, but it meets the requirements that we’ll be using it for. It has a beautiful cherry oak finish. I wish it would’ve had a wood backing rather than paper. If you’re looking for a medium storage pantry, with adjustable shelves, this product is perfect! The second pantry is without the shelves. I purchased two.

I would not recommend this product. It is cheaply made with a cardboard backing piece that is barely big enough to fasten to the back. It is very tippy so would not be suitable for a free standing pantry. Not happy with the product but 24″ units are hard to find.

Sure wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. At 69.99 this cabinet would be over-priced. With tax I paid $455.54 for cheap, pressed wood, garbage hinges and ugly plastic handles. I feel as though I have been cheated. Never again! I’ll be looking up the return policy.
