    UPDATED: Good Earbuds for price
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW: I am updating this review that I had initially submitted. Approximately 8 months after I bought these (Sep. 2023), the right earbud stopped working all the sudden. I could jiggle and hold the volume control and the sound would come back, but that was not an option. Therefore, I contacted Avantree Support and let them know what happened. They responded by email within 24 hours (other responses for the Support Incident were even quicker than that), and indicated they would send me a new set at no charge as they were still under warranty and provided clear instructions on how to order the new ones. The new ones arrived yesterday, 05/28/24 and they work like a charm.I am still very satisfied with the earbuds, and the professional customer service provided by Avantree. I still feel these are a very good value for the price, given the way they handled replacing the original defective set.ORIGINAL: I have had these Avantree E171 – Sports Earbuds Wired with Microphone for about 3 weeks now and I mainly use these on the treadmill when I run. I have found these to be more than adequate for that purpose. I previously bought Koss $6 headphones for the same purpose but I found those didn’t last long enough before one of the earpieces would just go dead. With the Avantree, I can see that for the price, they are a little better made and the wiring is a little stronger. They don’t seem flimsy at all, and the earbuds themselves and the portion that fits on your ears seem to be sturdy. They fit on my ears nicely enough with the loops and they do not bother me with or without glasses. They come with the middle size eartips attached, but I did find that when I run on the treadmill, they seemed to jump around a little, so I put on the larger ones. (The earbuds come with 3 sizes of eartips). The eartips are a little hard to get off and get the new ones on but you just need to grab the main part of the earbud and grab the base of the eartip and twist and pull a little to take it off, then work the new one on to the stem by working the opening of the eartip on the stem and pushing down and twisting a little. I have dexterity issues with my hands and I still got them on and off in about a minute. As far as the sound, these are not bass heavy at all, but that is fine (especially for the price) as the music I listen to doesn’t have much bass (such as with rap and some rock), but I found there is enough bass where needed, and they provide a nice rich, melodic sound without being “tinny” at all.In addition, although they do not have built-in noise cancelling functionality, I find that with the larger eartips when I am on the treadmill in our community fitness room, I do not hear the lady that babbles on loudly and continuously :). Thank You Avantree!I have not tried these with a cell phone, so I can’t speak to using with that. But, I have tried these on an iPod shuffle, an iPod touch and an iPad. The product listing here under “Before You Buy, Please Note That…” notes:”The built-in volume control does not work on PC, laptop, or iOS MP3 players, and the volume up button does not work on the Pixel 3A and Galaxy A9, S10, and Note 9 (it’ll activate Google Assistant instead).”I will verify the in-cord volume control and the pause button does not work on the iPod shuffle, but I found they DO work on the iPod Touch and my iPad. Seems to be a bit of a bonus.Overall, I think they are worth the price and provide a set of nice sounding wired earbuds.

    Nice headphones
Good sound quality, fit in the ear nicely and comfortably. Good set of extra silicon ear pieces that attach to the headphones. Very happy with purchase. Good value.

Good Deal, Good Customer Service, Lifetime Guarantee
My usage- Sleep (They stay in most of the time. Sometimes they pop out when I wake up but it’s still good)- Exercise (With the hooks, earbuds never fall out)- Travel- Music (YouTube)- Online calls (Discord)For buyersLength of cord: I’m a little more than 5ft, so it fits well with me. For anyone who may be much taller this may not satisfy youTangle-prone: Be sure you manage your cords carefully with any products like thisProduct QualityEpic for its price!Sound quality: Amazing compared to most popular cheap earbuds. Compare to “Panasonic, ergonomic Earbuds with mic”Hook-on earbuds: Flexible and comfortable, soft silicone textureStable Clip: The cords never fall out when running. I recommend using a screw to slowly widen that little hook for the cord to go throughDurability: They last longer than some cheap earbuds I’ve used in the pastIn-ear: My ears are very small, so I love itCustomer ServiceI thoroughly enjoy this product you guys got together! They are very considerate and tend to the needs of the customer in a timely manner.I got my new pair after I told them about my concern about sound being cut out from the volume control buttons. I feel bad for not yet being able to send back the product for them to figure out how to fix it. Regardless, I will buy more of this in the near futureSuggestionsCord: Try braided cables, so that it does not tangle as muchDurability of the control buttons: I had an issue with a disconnection of wiring, which caused one side of my earbud-sounds to get cut off.Mic quality: I had to keep bending the mic in such a way towards the hole of the mic for people to hear me better)Cord joint on sound-piece could use some improvements as well. I see some pulling can possibly affect the earbud connection on the inside.[Before I had a 5 star but now 4 since I’m not allowed to post links as reference for the suggestion below]

    Good for running
Decent sound and comfortable design. I use these for running and couldn’t ask for more, cable is long enough, clip prevents it from being yanked on. To this day they never fell out.

  5. Mike Stefan

    Awesome running headphones
My old running headphones broke and these have been a great replacement. The fit in my ears is pretty snug and have a bit of noise cancelling to them as well which was a nice surprise.

  6. Amazon Customer

This is a solid pair of headphones if you like corded earbuds that won’t ever fall out.
These were the design of headphones I’ve been looking for, they create the perfect support so I know they won’t fall out, but don’t take up so much space my ears get warm or rub against it. They’re great. And so far the jack in hasn’t broken so feels like the wires and casing are stronger then most your throw away cheap headphones. For the price, these are straight up a must to just have in your bag as a cheaper second pair. Bluetooth works great for phone calls. I can’t decide if the cord length is too short, or just right. I kinda was not stoked at how short it was at first, but so far no issues in pockets and doesn’t catch on stuff like a longer cord would. And yea, I’ll never not do corded headphones, so keep making them. Great buy!

I have struggled to find ear phones that don’t fall out my small ears. I wanted plug in because I always forget to charge Bluetooth ones. These are comfortable and don’t fall out. The sound quality is good and the price is very reasonable.
