Great product, especially for the price!
I’ll start off this review by saying that while this is my first smart door lock, I have helped family and friends installing their “smart” door locks that weren’t very smart. They had constant issues where the password wouldn’t work, or it wouldn’t unlatch all they way preventing you from getting in, etc. I always assumed that smart door locks were more hassle than they were worth, but the Anona Holo proved me wrong.I have a dog whom I let into the backyard frequently and I often forget to lock the door once he comes back inside the home. I got this lock to keep me and my pup safe when I forget to lock the door and give me some peace of mind. I can easily say that this products more than exceeds my expectations.I have two other Anona devices, both being their battery-operated security cameras that I use to keep an eye on my dog and I had a good experience with those (an easy recommendation from me for those as well) which is why I chose this brand for the door lock.Lets get into the review.Build quality:The devices are made with a mix of aluminum and PC (I think). both the door lock and the keypad are well built. The keypad also has a rubber gasket around the battery compartment to prevent water ingress when its raining. I even dropped the door lock while installing it because I am very clumsy and there was not a single scratch or dent on it. It’s very easy to install new batteries into the lock when needed as it has a magnetic latch.Installation:This took me about 30 minutes to install. That’s from the moment I started unscrewing my old lock to the moment I had installed this smart lock and the keypad. One thing I like about the keypad is that it comes with an adhesive bracket. That’s great for people like me who rent and don’t want to drill holes. Everything you need comes with the camera, with a screw driver being the only tool you need to get it up and running.Set up:The set up took about 5-10 minutes which included hooking this up to my WiFi, calibrating the lock, and adding the keypad to the app. Speaking of WiFi, I was half expecting issues as I use a 5GHz mesh network that some “smart” devices have trouble connecting to. This lock connected instantly and has not disconnected even once which is great news. The app:The app is a highlight of this device. Like I mentioned I have other Anona devices too and the app provides a convenient way to access and control all my Anona devices in one place. You can tie the lock to Google Home, Apple HomeKit, or Amazon Alexa if you use those ecosystems. One thing I love about the app is the “silent update” feature. It automatically downloads and updates the app at a set time (usually very early in the morning) so you don’t have to worry about keeping your door lock updated. This feature has worked great with my Anona cameras and I was glad to see it present for the Holo lock too.The app also has a “history” page that shows me all events from all my devices in a chronological order which I love. It means I don’t have to go and check each device individually and can see everything that happened one one spot. It keeps a history too! There’s also no monthly subscription or hidden fees. You pay for the lock and start using it. Simple.Overall I am very satisfied with this door lock and would easily recommend it to others, especially so if you have other Anona devices.

GREAT!!!!
I was initially skeptical about smart locks after helping friends install ones that constantly malfunctioned, but the Anona Holo completely changed my perception. I chose this model specifically because I live in an apartment and needed a lock that maintained landlord access — the ability to keep using the original key was essential. Installation was straightforward, though I had to deepen the deadbolt slot slightly to prevent a jam error, and while I didn’t realize the keypad wasn’t included, ordering it separately was easy and it works great. I did run into an issue where the first unit I received was bound to another user despite being sold as “new,” which was frustrating and time-consuming, but the manufacturer quickly shipped a replacement that worked perfectly. Now, the lock functions reliably, pairs with Alexa via Matter (with a few extra steps), and is quieter and more compact than my previous Kwikset — plus, it doesn’t interfere with my Schlage handle. Overall, the Anona Holo exceeded my expectations and provides both smart convenience and peace of mind, especially when I forget to lock the door after letting my dog back in.

Works great with only a few minuses.
My lock works great…. not sure about the battery life, but the install was easy. I had to get a cheap replacement Quickset deadbolt as mine had a double tail piece design. The lock is a really nice design, but pretty big. Wish it was half as “thick” but I guess that’s because of the batteries. I like that it’s only visible on the inside and the outside uses your existing deadbolt. Pairing it to Alexa was a tad tedious, but I eventually got it to pair and set up.The app is nice, but would be nice if it had a few more features. If you leave the door open and alarm will sound after 10 minutes. I can’t seem to find where to deactivate that feature. For the money, it’s cheaper and nicer looking than anything else I could find.

Does NOT work with Alexa
After a whole month of back and forth with Anona support, no resolution. Support person seems nice but no clue of what’s wrong. Even after their “engineer” reviewed the log, still no clue. They keep asking me to repeat the same binding procedures listed in their document. Eventually, they offered to send a new unit. The new unit did not connect to Alexa either. If you just want a lock with remote control, Anona is OK. But if you wanted a smart lock to integrate with your smart home, look to another lock.

Fantastic setup, can’t recommend enough for apartment dwellers!
Installation was extremely quick and easy, and the only tool needed to install is a standard screwdriver. I was able to install in less than 15 minutes, and the app was helpful to add the device to my home internet. My leasing company is quick to charge fees for tampering with anything like the locks, thermostats, etc., so I like that the lock looks completely undetectable from the outside of my unit. Also, the original key still works in the lock in case maintenance does need to come in, the locks battery dies, etc.The app is quick to request locking/unlocking, and even has a timer to auto lock after a set time. I have had no issues so far with connectivity with the app or device itself. I do think I’ll try to buy the keypad later, but for now the app alone works great.

Nice looking and convenient smart lick
Easy to install and set up. Works great. You can’t tell the change from the outside, which is good IMO. Also you get the convenience of keeping the old key. Definitely recommend.
